We cling to a very basic formula: A-B=C (where A = Knowledge, Skills, Attitudes/Abilities required to to a job, B = Current Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes/Abilities, C = Need for training/Identified Skills Gap).
We will kick off with analysis to determine if a training problem exists (what is it: a) knowledge or skill deficit? b) Lack of motivation, c) Environmental problem, d) etc); Can the performance be improved through training (perhaps there are better alternatives out there)? To check these, we will use assessment tools, audits, surveys, work samples, observation, document reviews, interviews, tests, etc. Then we will design and develop the program you need. To do this, we will conduct job and task analyses, prepare performance objectives, develop assessment measures, develop curriculum, determine delivery location, pilot test, revise as necessary. If it reaches the required standard, we will implement it. We will deliver it using alternative methodologies that are experiential and action-based. Finally, we will evaluate it on: a) whether the participants liked it, b) whether they learned it, c) whether they are able to apply it, d) what are the results (business impact, ROE, Intangible benefits).
